We were excited to see our butterflies after the weekend. Unfortunately, one butterfly got stuck in her blood while she emerged from her chrysalis.

Can you see the butterfly enjoying the cantaloupe. Point to the proboscis

Ask me about the stuck butterfly...

Sammy, Thank you for bringing in the fresh cantaloupe for the butterflies!

 Point to the body parts...

Jared, Thank you for saving the butterfly
We talked about how this butterfly will die. Ask me why? What happened to its wings

It did manage to crawl around.
Her antennae and her wings are damaged......

Today we reviewed our virtue, "Responsibility" by reading a few books of Mercer Mayer.

                               Ask me about these books....

Today we also read the book, "The Hello, Goodbye Window"

Ask me what does the golden stamp on the book mean......?

Ask me about the illustrations.....
                     What was the story about........
What did the children do when they passed the kitchen window......

This is a special window. It is a meeting place. Everything important happens here...
Today we also talked about how we communicate through windows with our mom and dad when we are playing outside....
We make silly faces, press our face against the window. Make the cutest face
ever and make our parents and siblings laugh..........

Enjoy are cute faces we made for you on our Learning Commons Window!
